So we r a day behind in writing home. Yesterday was a fun and hectic day of camp. We started off in the early am, and didn't stop until late last pm. During a power morning service the worship team performed the "everything" skit. It started the say off reminding us how much God loves us and fights off the evils of this world. During craft time we finished up our tye dye shirts by adding lots of creative drawings and then having the campers sign each others shirts :) For Rec we had the camoers participate in Archery, and the lower ropes course. The LR course had a mud pit, that several landed in. They didn't come out smelling or looking very pretty !!!!!!!
We've been blessed not only to see the campers develop their relationship with Christ, but also seeing each of our team teams grow in faith and maturity as Christians. Last night ended with a Bon Fire, roasting smores and decking out with glow sticks. It was an amazing time celebrating our week of camp. We've had an amazing week, and look forward to finishing strong....
Blessings :)

Sammy found some UFO (unidentified food object) in the yard today and when he saw me coming he gulped it down. Don't have any idea.....ew.

Hi Tyler (Martin),
I just wanted to send a little note to let you know that I am thinking about you and praying for you every day. I miss you and can't wait to see you and hear about the awesome things God did on the mission trip. I am so proud of you! Love, Mom
To Hope and all,
Praise God for those He has drawn to Himself and for those who were faithful to carry the message.
Something was eating the blue flowers in the pots out front. We were not sure what until I came home from walking one morning and found a bunny sitting on the steps nibbling away. Mystery solved. The flowers were only eaten out of one of the pots, but we are in PA now, so we will see what is left when we get back.
I sanded your desk Thursday a.m. Will paint some time next week.
Sounds like you all are having a blast and honoring God in all you are doing. Can't wait to hear more when you get back, especially how beautiful and amazing the Grand Canyon is.
Continuing to pray and love to all,
Mom (Katy)
HI Team and Thompson Twins,
We are so excited to hear of the 2 teens who accepted Christ at camp! Our God is an awesome God!
It sounds like you guys are having so much fun. Wish we were there! We had a great day today. Dad, Corey and I went to Washington's birthplace Mt. Vernon, and then rode bikes on the bike trail that goes from there towards Washington. We took a picnic lunch and the weather was beautiful. We're taking care of Chase some this weekend. He is a ball of energy!
We hope you have a great weekend and we'll look forward to seeing you Monday night.
We're praying for everyone's health and safety. (Matthew don't fall into the canyon)
Love,
Mom
Megan -
After talking with you today, I can feel your excitement about what God is doing this week through the Team. I know the campers felt the excitement this week as well. I know this is Friday and the week is coming to an end, but you never know who you will touch in the next two days that need the Lord.
Praying for one and all.
Love,
Mom
Hey guys, it's great to hear about people coming to Christ over there in AZ. Something's that been amazing me about God recently and reading this blog has contributed to further, is how exceedingly global, powerful, and consistent He is. Yet he initiates personal relationships with us, it's so humbling. I'm jealous that you guys get to see people make decisions this week to pursue the Lord, and I'm just hanging out in the ville still. Keep laboring out of undeserved love from your Savior and the knowledge of how huge his sacrifice for you was.
I think the best encouragement I can give you guys will probably be stolen from parts of 1 Thessalonions "We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father...encourage one another and build up one another...help the weak, be patient with everyone, rejoice always, praying without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit (don't ignore it when he's speaking to you)...Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass."
If you don't know what to study during your morning quiet time tomorrow, find that first verse and consider what "work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope" are, it's way too much for you to unpack while your listening to this aloud....anyway i'm getting carried away with this because it's exciting stuff, have a great time and serve the Lord.
and somebody let me know if there's a share service
-Whit Jackson
Just have to comment again... (are you sick of me yet?) I just wanted to check on Carice--are you doing ok? I wish I could have come since you were on the trip this year--I know God is using your caring heart in so many ways---And Wayne---you will have to share your "monkey" talent with the rest of us back home when you return--I know you are a "rock" for the whole team--thanks for supporting them--
And Andrew--so--what do you think?
I am so excited that God allowed you to go on this trip this year--I know you were ready--and I am sure that He has used you in
unbelievable ways--David,I know you are keeping a close eye on things---don't let anyone get out of hand or disobey rules (not like I would know anything about that or about going down to shops on the beach in the DR that were past the boundary line--lol)Be the wonderful encourager you always are to everyone---John, how is the knee--are you still keeping up with everyone?--I'm excited to hear
about all that you did--And Alex, I hope you are helping with your musical talents in some way--your quiet devotion to Christ does not go unnoticed--Racheal S- I know God is taking your kindness I have seen at Capernaum and using it to touch lives there---Emily K- I know without a doubt God is using your servant heart and you are developing relationships there for Him--And Keith, I hope you are not out of control too much---although I expect to hear something about your escapades...I know God has a special reason for you there..
And to the whole team---keep your spirits and strength up to the end...you are prayed for daily...
Much love...
Rach-I miss you, our conversations have been too brief, but, I know that you are right where you need to be and you are focused! You still have exciting days ahead of you, so don't be sad that you have to leave AZ soon!!!I think it's funny that Wendy's comments were just a little before mine, (sounds like we might have some stuff in common)
Staying up late nights, shopping, breaking rules)I MAY have a new BFF!
I'm proud of the work everyone has done, please tell all the adults THANK YOU from me, for being there for you!
I love you sweetie, Mom
Tyler M-
Praying for you! This morning some scripture really stood out and I pray that this hope comes alive to each one whose spiritual eyes are opened this week! (Rms. 5:1-5). Looking forward to having you home!
Love, Dad
Hey Tyler M. its me Anna.... its really quiet without you here. Cant wait till you get home!!!
See you soon!!!
Love, Anna
Hey Maddi,
We all miss you very much. Claire and I have been praying for you each night in our prayers together and Colin keeps asking how much longer until you come home. I miss your hugs. I was glad to hear you had such an awesome time and that God gave you the opportunity to share your love for Him with others. Can't wait to hear about everything. See you in a few days. Love, Mom
So the Canyon is coming up - I am so jealous! What a beautiful way to wrap up serving God, soaking in the splendor of His marvelous creation! ( despite what the park guide may tell you, it did NOT take milllions of years to form! look at Mt. St Helens and see the canyons formed by runoff in just DAYS there. You know, Big Flood, lots of water, layers of sand laid down over 190 or something days, major runoff- you get the picture.)
Pud, you'd better take a lot of pictures and yell once for me - I hear the echo there is great!
May God bless you with every spiritual blessing as you wrap up this week of service. Someone give MC a kleenex - and a hug!

Dillon. Miss you so much. We ran into a youth group from NC last night that are here New Orleans for 12 days. They all had shirts that read "where have you seen God today". We talked to them for a while. They were so excited and it made us miss you but we are so proud of you. We know you will remember your trip forever. Take care and we love you. Mom and Dad
